Turno de Noche Malbec originates from Mendoza, Argentina, in the 2022 vintage, displaying a rich violet hue and a bouquet of dark cherries, plum, and blackberries, with subtle floral and vanilla undertones. On the palate, its velvety tannins highlight flavours of ripe berries and a touch of earthiness, leading to a subtle cocoa finish. This Malbec pairs well with grilled ribeye steak for a hearty option, or roasted portobello mushrooms with balsamic reduction for a lighter alternative. Argentinian Malbecs, particularly those from Mendoza, benefit from the region's high-altitude vineyards and diverse day-to-night temperature shifts. These conditions contribute to the wine's balanced acidity, concentrated flavours, and deep colour. Turno de Noche exemplifies this regional approach, offering a glimpse into the tradition of Argentinian winemaking with its distinctive characteristics and smooth tannins, making it a noteworthy representation of the country's winemaking heritage.

A medium bodied fruity red made from two grapes, Tempranillo which is the principal grape in Rioja and Syrah which is the principal grape in Rhone. Its fun, fruity and easy going and best of all, its Organic! A good alternative for those who like fruity Malbecs.

Portuguese wines are some of the best value reds on the market and this field blend from Alentejo is now exception. Dark fruit like blackberries and blackcurrants are layered with spice and a gorgeous texture. This is a bombshell wine, a real cracker! One of the main grapes in the blend here is Alicante Bouschet, a very unique grape in the wine world as the pulp is dark in colour. It adds depth and perfume to this outstanding wine. 'Trinca Bolotas' meaning acorn muncher is a nod to the acorn munching Iberian pigs that are native to the area. Alentejo produces superb red wines made from the regions native grape varieties, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional.

El Recio is an opulent and elegant wine made from 100% Tempranillo from very old vines. It spends 14 months in new oak which creates a robust wine with dark red fruits, spice,herbs and a lovely silky mouthfeel. This is our favourite of the collection. Its fancy and very good value for money. Its a must have people who like full bodied reds. El Recio is one of our dessert island wines and we couldn't recommend it any more highly.  

This Negroamaro is a full bodied glass of brambly black fruit with intense flavours of blackberries and blackcurrants. The velvety texture, lovely balance and savoury spice notes are very hard to resist. This is an excellent example of why Southern Italian reds are so popular.  It offers serious value for money and over-delivers at the price point! Excellent with or without food, and the perfect wine to enjoy on a Friday night. The winemakers have been making wine in Puglia for over twenty years, and their philosophy is to let the fruit shine with minimal technical intervention. This is something which you can taste in every glass.

Located in the heart of the Bordeaux AOC Chateau Haut Gravelier has 26 hectares of vines with an average age of 20 years. Vinification takes place in stainless steel and the wines are vinified in cement tanks. The wine is typically a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
