Spain is one of Ireland’s favourite wine countries with a particular focus on Rioja.

But Spain’s best wines are limited to its most famous region, with wines from Cava, Ribero del Duero, Toro, Valencia, Priorat and Rueda being popular. We source red, white, sparkling and rose wines from Spains’s key regions including Albarino, Godello, Treixadura and Mencia from Galicia. We also have many natural, low sulphur and organic wines from trailblazing producers in Valencia and Somontano. We have proudly stocked the Matsu Family Collection since we launched.

Spain’s primary red grape is Tempranillo, which is the principle red grape in Rioja, is widely grown across Northern Spain and makes some of Spain’s best red wines. A close second is the grape Garnacha which produces outstanding reds which can be drunk young or can aged in the bottle.
