Made from the very obscure (yet delicious!) grape of Merenzao, Fedellos do Couto have crafted a delicate and complex red that could easily fool you into thinking it is a fine glass of Burgundy.
Savoury and sweet on the nose with vibrant acidity, a silky texture and purity. Decanting is recommended. The playful name Bastarda is actually the Portuguese name for the Merenzao grape. Fedellos do Couto are located in Ribeira Sacra in Galicia, a region which is a hotbed of talent right now.
