Skin Contact wine is also known as orange wine.
A gorgeous introduction to what orange wines taste like. It’s slightly cloudy with flavours of lime, chamomile, elderflower and grapes. Lovely tangy acidity and a long finish. Its wine, but not as we know it.
It’s quite unusual to find skin contact Gruner Veltliner, and Alwin Jurtschitsch is the man for the job. He’s a brilliant wine winemaker from Austria and this unique wine is unfiltered, unfined and spends 2 weeks with contact on the skins. Its quite textural and will go well with Asian food flavours such as soy, ginger, miso and wasabi. Also recommended with fish and pork.
