This is the bottle of Bordeaux you have been waiting for!
It’s a dark and rich Bordeaux brimming with blueberries and blackberries, not necessarily a typical bottle from St Emilion but its really outstanding. In terms of value for money, flavour and presentation, this gets 10/10 from us. This would definitely benefit from opening up at lunch time to drink in the evening, or pop it into the decanter.
Chateau Puynormond is nestled in between the two most important areas for Merlot production; St Emilion and Pomerol. Since 2016 they have been adding in some Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon to the blend to enhance the colour and depth of flavour. The family have been making wine here since 1923, coming up to the 100 year anniversary.
