Vincent Caille’s Muscadet is not what you would expect from a Muscadet. Its gentle and soft with fresh apples and lemons and an unmistakable creamy texture. He has 26 hectares of prime sites in the Loire which he farms organically.
Muscadet comes in two different forms; ‘Muscadet’ and ‘Muscadet Sur Lie’. The ‘sur lie’ means on lees and refers to the wine spending time on the dead yeast cells. This is a brilliant and well used technique which adds a soft and creamy texture to the wine.
