Medium bodied Sangiovese (the principle grape in Chianti), with dark cherry fruit and perfectly ripe plums.
Cantina dei Colli Ripani is on the Adriatic coast in the Marche region. The first vintage here was 1977 and they have embraced both forward thinking strategies as well respect for the land and their they now use organic methods and renewable energy from solar panels at the winery. At 500 meters above sea level, the grapes have both intense ripe fruit and fine structure and acidity.
