Creamy Sauces, White Meats, White Fish
Aligote is grape grown almost exclusively in Burgundy, having being planted there since as early as the 18th century. Aligoté is a delicious white wine that is young, stylish and is a little different. The best growers, like Ms Curley, produce balanced examples with nutty and citrus hints which are most appealing to drink. Bourgogne Aligote offers exceptional value for money for those who are fans of crisp Chablis style wines.
Irish born winemaker, Roisin Curley, originally hails from Co.Mayo. She is considered a micro-negociant as she buys small parcels of grapes from growers and bottles them under her own name. She works with conscientious grape growers and focuses on quality.
She recently joined the Masters of Wine Hall of Fame along with some other Irish greats such as Mick O’Connell.
