An almost ethereal like Sangiovese from the Brunello commune. Medium bodied, dry, and delicate, with intricate layers of fresh herbs and red fruit. Although it doesn’t carry the Brunello status, it delivers a lot of it’s key characteristics.
The hill of Montalcino and its surrounding land paints the most idyllic of pictures. It is on these slopes that you will find the property of Gianni Brunelli, where the land is so dry that the wild boar quench their thirst on grapes. Gianni Brunelli is most famous for making the crown jewel of the Italian wines, the much adored Brunello di Montalciano. This wine is a great way to experience all the greatness of the top cuvee without the massive price tag. Its a real treat!
