This box of BBQ wines is one for the red wine lover, containing 1 rose and 2 reds that can be served either straight from the fridge or at room temperature. All the wines are Southern French and are a great celebration of quirky France.
Rosabelle Rose, Languedoc
Dry and fruity with fresh strawberries and raspberries. Its dry and crisp and is exactly the type of wine you would like to have on a Sunday in the garden. The wine spends time on its lees so it has a lush creamy mouthfeel.
Not to mention that the bottle looks super cool!
Domaine Bachellery Pinot Noir
At last we found a delicious Pinot Noir at an affordable! We love this for its soft red fruity flavours and the mild earthy undertones. Pinot Noir is a difficult grape to grow with its thin skins and fragile nature, the result is that they are hard to find at an affordable price point.
Domaine de Bachellery has a very long history of winemaking with records dating back to 1584. A true testament to the potential of wine which is produced here. The reputation of the wine at the domaine has been forged over centuries. The Julien family took over here during the 1980s and produce vibrant and intense wines.
Combel La Serre, Pur Fruit Cahors
Malbec is almost exclusively planted here, with vines ranging from 20-90 years old. The wines have bright red fruit, and a unique purity not often seen in Cahors.
Combel La Serre has been ECOCERT-certified organic since 2013, though farmed without chemicals for several decades up to that point–the family long suspected that the death a family member from severe Parkinson’s disease was directly tied to a lifetime of exposure to the conventional chemicals so commonly by French farmers in the mid-20th century.
