The Vegan Wine Box | White Wines
There are 13 ingredients in a bottle of wine and some are not vegan friendly. After a wine is fermented it is usually fined and filtered with animal proteins (casein) resulting in a clear, clarified juice. Vegan wines however are unable to use these proteins so instead use an agent called bentonite clay or they are chosen not to be filtered at all resulting in a cloudy, exciting style of wine.
We have put together a delicious six bottle box of vegan white wines perfect for any occasion.
Six bottles, five countries, five different grapes, some that are best sellers, some lesser known but still as superb.
About the wines:
6 x White Wines
Voria Pet Nat Bianco, Italy (Sparkling): This is a light and lively Pet Nat, with gorgeous creamy and fizzy bubbles, juicy ripe tropical fruit of pineapple and citrus. Goes down very easy
Bodegas Salentein, Portillo Sauvignon Blanc, Argentina: A lovely and tangy Sauvignon Blanc with mouth watering flavours of Granny Smith Apple, melons and hints of pineapple. It combines the best bits of a French Sauvignon with the best bits of a New Zealand Sauvignon and is very moreish!
Borgo dei Trulli Vermentino, Italy: Think lemon zest, lemon sherbet and orange peel, with hints of apricot and Mediterranean herbs. Fragrant and fun, this wine is ideal for anyone who is partial to a glass of Albarino.
Assyrtiko Lyrarakis, Greece: Made from 100% Assyrtiko which is an indigenous grape to the island of Crete. Bone dry, crisp and elegant with a light touch of salinity.
Liberty Nages Blanc, France: A fantastic white wine with minerality freshness with lots of body and character.
Mahi Sauvignon Banc, NZ: The focus with this wine is texture and depth, rather than focussing solely on primary fruit notes. Handpicking of quality fruit combined with a small percentage going through fermentation in old French oak make this a unique and exciting Marlborough Sauv.
