A wine for wine lovers, Una Noche Y Un Dia is produced entirely from the Giro grape. Only found in Alicante and Valencia it is almost entirely extinct, so its a delight to try something this unique and special. A classic red that is very rustic in style with soft red fruits backed up with savoury and herbaceous flavours. If you were to blind taste this wine you would struggle to guess Spain as it has a distinctive southern French character about. It packs in the flavour and alcohol and we would definitely recommend trying it with a hearty meal.
Curii Uvas Y Vinos is a joint venture by couple Violeta Gutierrez and Alberto Redrado, who are from winemaking and gastronomy royalty respectively. Alberto owns one of Spain’s best restaurants, La Escalata.
Giro grapes grown at high altitudes in a marginal area, this encapsulates how good Mediterranean wines can be. The Giro grape is traced back to Sardinia, arriving to the shores of Alicante in the 17th Century, and truly tastes like a piece of history.
