Product Information
Allegrini 'La Grola' is a full-bodied, elegantly intense red wine with a dark ruby hue and complex aromas of wild berries, juniper, tobacco, and coffee. Balanced flavours of blackcurrant, black pepper, and tobacco make it the perfect pairing for red meat dishes, mushrooms, and aged cheeses. Allegrini is one Italy's most iconic producers, and certainly one of the most famous in Northern Italy. The La Grola vineyard is a single vineyard production and reputed to be the original birthplace of Valpolicella, and was purchased by the Allegrini family in 1979. The wine is fermented and aged in oak barriques before releasing resulting in a rich and bold Valpolicella, the wine delivers on both flavour and legacy.
