Bodega Cerrón’s Remordimiento Blanco is a rare Chardonnay from Jumilla, thriving in the region’s solid limestone soils at 840 metres above sea level. This 4-hectare vineyard, planted in 1989, benefits from chalky, stony soils reminiscent of Chablis, making it an ideal site for this varietal. Organic and biodynamic practices ensure the purity of the fruit, with meticulous hand-harvesting and minimal intervention in the winery.
Aged on its lees for 4 months in 700-litre French and Hungarian oak barrels, this wine is both elegant and powerful. Aromas of white fruit, delicate florals, and soft toasted notes lead to a palate that is smooth, balanced, and fresh, with just the right touch of acidity. The subtle smoky complexity from barrel fermentation adds depth, making this an age-worthy Chardonnay that can be enjoyed now.
