Celebrate Easter with two wine classics. Featuring a full bodied Tempranillo and a vibrant single vineyard Pinot Grigio, this selection is ideal for pairing with everything from succulent lamb to spring-inspired dishes. Whether you're gathering with loved ones or searching for the perfect Easter gift, this classic selection delivers versatility, value, and quality.

What’s Inside?

  • Abadía de Acón, Acon Joven, Ribera del Duero (Red) – A youthful and fruit-forward Tempranillo bursting with ripe blackberry, cherry, and a touch of spice. With its smooth tannins and fresh vibrancy, this wine is the perfect match for roast leg of lamb, complementing its rich, savoury flavours with bold fruit and a structured finish.
  • Alpha Zeta ‘Terrapieno’ Pinot Grigio, Italy (White) – A crisp and expressive Pinot Grigio with bright citrus, pear, and subtle floral notes. This refreshing white wine is an excellent pairing for lighter Easter starters or spring salads, offering a lively contrast to fresh, herbaceous dishes.

Why Choose This Classic Easter Wine Selection?

Perfect Pairings for Easter Lamb – A Ribera del Duero Tempranillo for roast leg of lamb and a Pinot Grigio for fresh, spring-inspired starters.
A Classic Red & White Combination – A bold, fruit-driven red and a bright, elegant white, suited for a variety of dishes.

Abadia de Acon, Acon Joven, Ribera del Duero 2023
A full bodied, rich and unctuous red wine from Ribero del Duero. Unoaked, with flavours of fresh blackberries, blueberries and plums. Made exclusively from Tempranillo, you would be forgiven for expecting it to taste similar to a Rioja, however Ribero is a much hotter place resulting in a much more robust style of wine. If you like Malbec, this one will be right up your street. The climate along the Duero is extreme, with hot dry summers and harsh winters. The hot summer days and cool evenings result in intense and full bodied reds with a firm structure and refreshing acidity.

Alpha Zeta ‘Terrapieno’ Pinot Grigio, Italy
This single-vineyard Pinot Grigio is in a league of its own—bright, textured, and packed with gorgeous fruit. Aromas of ripe pear, citrus zest, and warm bread crust leap from the glass, giving way to a palate that’s all about silky elegance and subtle complexity. There’s a gorgeous weight to this wine, with hints of dried herbs and a touch of saline minerality adding depth. A zesty acidity keeps it fresh and vibrant, leading to a long, dry, beautifully refined finish. If you love New Zealand Pinot Gris, this Italian beauty will be right up your street. Crafted by Matt Thomson in partnership with local growers, this Pinot Grigio is sourced from a single, high-quality vineyard in Veneto, where the combination of cool nights and mineral-rich soils gives the fruit its intensity. Hand-harvested and gently pressed at low temperatures, the winemaking process preserves the wine’s pure aromatics and silky texture without the need for harsh fining. The result? A beautifully expressive Pinot Grigio that’s bursting with flavour, finesse, and an unmistakable sense of place. A must-try for fans of seriously good Italian whites.
