Domaine du Météore, Faugères 'Léonides' 2019
Product Information
A fully bodied, meaty and rustic wine that is very typical of the South of France, it will happily give you memories of holidays and keep you coming back for more. Vibrant aromas of dried red fruits, roasted coffee, red berries and dried herbs. The finish is full and lengthy with excellent acidity and firm minerality making this a very harmonious wine. This is the perfect wine for stew and other hearty dishes. The domaine is so named due to the presence of a 10,000 year-old meteor crater situated in an area of the vineyard named 'Le Clot' where the vines grow particularly well. 'Les Leonides' is a blend of organically grown grapes and is easily one of the bargains of the appellation. Domaine du Meteore is situated in Faugeres in the South of France, and is owned by two English doctors who took over the estate in October 2018.
