Product Information
Made from 100% grenache, this micro-cuvée of only 2500 bottles comes from a small vineyard plot in the prestigious area of Chateauneuf du Pape, called Pied de Baud. The sandy soils are renowned for producing Chateauneuf du Pape of tremendous length, elegance and finesse. A brilliant, intense black cherry colour, with a tangy, come-hither nose of redcurrant, raspberry and cherry. Silky tannins and gorgeous fruit flavours with notes of pepper and thyme. The roasted notes derived from the ageing in barrels brings additional length to the mouth and reinforce the precision of the fruit on its wonderful finish. Delicious now, but please wait until it has matured for at least 5 years (from the vintage date) to revel in the increasing complexity of flavours that comes with ageing.
