Echo de Lynch Bages 2017
Lynch Bages is particularly popular here in Ireland and is one of the most reliable and in demand Châteaux of Bordeaux. Prices are modest compared to those of the aforementioned 1er Cru Classe, and it represents good value for money.
As an ‘echo’ of the flagship wine, Echo de Lynch Bages is an excellent way to experience this exceptional property without the big price tag.
It is produced from the younger vines on the property and specific plots which represent between 25 to 40 % of the harvest depending on the vintage. It receives the same care and attention from the vine to the cellars and even has great aging potential
Owned by the Cazes family since 1939, this much loved wine consistently makes one of our most highly demanded and biggest selling wines of Bordeaux. The dashing Jean-Charles Cazes is at the helm for the last number of years, and his wines are as charming as he is. The recent vintages have been amongst the best ever.
International Critic Reviews:
“A juicy red with plums and currants and hints of fresh herbs. Medium body. Lightly velvety with pretty fruit character at the end. A blend of 74% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot and 2% cabernet franc. Second wine of Château Lynch-Bages”
93/100 James Suckling
