Dedicated to the bankers who would not finance his wine project, this winemaker's Rioja passion could not be stopped and winemaker Gonzalo Grijalba has created a gorgeous white as a natural pair to his best selling red. Made from the typical grape of white Rioja, Viura, this is more restrained and subtle than what you might expect. Dry, crisp and medium bodied, it has a lot in common with a good glass of Pinot Grigio. Lovely musky pear fruits and lemons. Fiercely protective of the terroir of his family vineyards Gonzalo rejects market driven fashions, formulae, chemical treatments and conformism. Instead he has sought out his own methods with respect for the land, his vineyards, and the traditions of his forefathers.
