Aged for about 2 years in oak barrels and barrique, it’s a joyous wine with intense mocha, black fruits and tobacco flavours. Zardini’s Valpoicella Ripasso is made like a traditional Valpolicella with the additional step of 30 days contact with marc from his Amarone. This coupled with the high quality grape selection and oak treatment results in this rich and velvety Ripasso.

The Pinot Grigio grape has a pink tinted skin, which means that winemakers are able to produce the gorgeous Italian style of pink Pinot Grigio which is called Ramato. This is the Rolls Royce of Pinot Grigio Blush and one of the nicest Rose wines you will try this year. This wine is soft pink in colour with copper highlights, a characteristic of this varietal. It is fresh and floral with aromas of pink lady apples, and ripe pears with notes of elderflower. Lively with a creamy mouthfeel it is a refined wine that is made to be enjoyed with shellfish and seafood, or simply enjoyed on a warm summers evening.
