Nouveau from Foillard tastes like an accomplished Beaujolais. The wines are so well-made, they can live long after Nouveau day.
The 2024 Beaujolais Nouveau is 21st November this year. You can secure the wine in advance and we will receive it in our warehouse on the 20th November.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a celebration of the French harvest, with the wine being released on the 3rd Thursday of November. Now experiencing a resurgence in quality, these high quality and vibrant wines are a delight! Jean Foillard took over his family vineyard in 1980 and returned to the old practices of wine production. No pesticides, late harvesting. only picking the healthiest grapes and no added sulphur, Foillard's wines are always flying the flag for the true expression of the Gamay grape. Last years vintage was so delicious with ripe and juicy strawberry and raspberry fruits with a hint of sweet spices, so we can only hope that this years bottles follow suit!
