Scents of eucalyptus, pint and vetiver combine harmoniously with fruity notes (mirabelle plum, apricot, orange flower), spices (pepper, cardamom, stick of licorice). A creamy and airy attack comes before an elegant, precise and silky palate, with a saline and enduring finish. Would pair beautifully with cured pork, crusted clams or a delicious crème brûlée.

A highly regarded white wine from the Côte de Beaune region in Burgundy, France. Made from Chardonnay grapes, this wine is known for its complex and buttery profile with notes of oak and minerality. The fruit and oak exist in equal harmony for thisPerfectly paired with lobster, crayfish, poultry or veal in cream sauce, foie gras, and blue cheese, wines from Larue showcase purity, energy, and a distinctive minerality from the limestone soils of Saint-Aubin. The Larue family's meticulous and precise approach to winegrowing and winemaking is evident in their creations. These wonderful white Burgundies are approachable when young but benefit greatly from a few extra years of bottle age, reflecting their tightly wound nature.
1 x RED: La Sergue, 2016 Lalande de Pomerol
An outstanding wine, that has real wow factor. La Sergue is a unique wine, combining the three best terroirs and micro-climates of Lalande de Pomerol. This blend of Merlot (80-85%), Cabernet Franc (8-12%), and Malbec (3-5%) captures the essence of each vintage. Vinified in oak vats and aged in barrels for 14 to 16 months, La Sergue is known for its dense colour and silky, oily mouthfeel. It features attractive ripe dark berries, with a wealth of flesh and ripe tannins. The palate is juicy, finishing with a plush yet focused style. Aging in the bottle enhances its natural complexity, making it an essential reference of the appellation.
1 x WHITE: Moingeon, Meursault Premier Cru Charmes 2020
Florent Mongeon’s 2020 ‘Charmes’ unwinds in the glass with scents of pear, apple, brioche and white flowers. On the palate the juice reveals peach, honey, oatmeal and vanilla pastry flavours. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, there's depth and concentration here, with lively acidity to balance it. This is a Charmes that is already drinking well, though there is no urgency. This is very impressive juice, with a long, elegant, sophisticated finale. This is an estate to watch. Florent Moingeon is the 3rd generation to manage the estate, joining his father and uncle in 2009. He has been responsible for introducing dramatic changes; introducing homeopathic soil management, lower density plantings, lower yields and new canopy management. The resulting wines are strikingly fresh with great energy and a heightened focus on minerality.
1 x RED: Pietro Zardini Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2020
The Amarone by Pietro Zardini is an austere and deep red wine, aged for about 36 months in oak barrels and barriques. It has a complex and intense bouquet of black cherries, Indian spices, pepper, graphite and humus. The taste is powerful, warm, very structured and persistent. We recommend decanting this bad boy. Made from semi dried grapes, it is an unctuous and rich glass of red and the perfect way to complete a celebratory meal and very special with gruyere cheese pairing.
