This Beaune Blanc from Róisín Curley is a real standout and a bit of a rarity. With 90% Chardonnay and a unique 10% Pinot Blanc blend, it’s unlike many Burgundian whites out there. The 2022 vintage saw just 1,140 bottles produced, making this an exclusive find. On the palate, it’s all about elegance—crisp orchard fruits, a lovely creamy texture, and a subtle minerality that keeps it fresh. There’s a beautiful balance here, with the rich fruit flavors mingling seamlessly with a bright, refreshing finish. Róisín Curley, a Mayo native, is one of only 420 Masters of Wine in the world, and her expertise really shines through in her wines. After working at renowned estates like Château Latour, where she focused on biodynamic practices, Róisín found her true passion in Burgundy. In 2015, she launched her micro négociant-vinificateur business, Maison Róisín Curley, from a tiny cellar in Beaune. Her focus is on crafting small-batch wines, preferably from organically grown grapes, and the results speak for themselves. Her wines have already gained a loyal following, not just in Ireland but in markets as far-reaching as Canada and China.
