Product Information
The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge is sourced from Mercurey, and from the same grower that provides the Aligoté grapes for the Bouzeron. Farming is organic and the grapes are hand-picked. Roisin used 30% whole bunch in the fermentation which contributes an attractive floral character to the wine. Roisin Curley is a Mayo woman and trained pharmacist, who discovered a passion for wine around 15 years ago. What started as a hobby swiftly became a labour of love and since 2015, Roisin Curley has been producing wine in Burgundy. She is known as a micro negociant, and buys tiny parcels of grapes from the best vineyards she can find. The production is so small, in fact, that the each bottle is individually numbered. Roisin's wine immediately reached cult status and the wines always sell out very early, meaning that we patiently have to wait for each restock before we can sample her liquid gold!
